Bald Eagle #17-1019 update

During morning treatments on June 2, the veterinary team cleaned the wound on Bald Eagle #17-1019’s wing. Dr. Ernesto felt the bullet fragment under the wound and was able to remove it through a small incision.

The Bald Eagle ate on its own again overnight, and the fracture repair site looks stable and clean.
